Meet Mdomo, the wing-damaged pink-backed pelican. His enclosure is always open as he loves to walk around to ensure he doesn´t miss Okuli passing by with some fish.
Although Mdomo can never be free again, he is an ambassador for the conservation-education-program of Kilimanjaro Animal CREW. During school class visits, this bird, amongst many other animals, enable local children a hands-on experience, to develop knowledge and hopefully awaken a passion for conservation, to save precious wildlife, their national heritage.
